At Maternal by Sentido, we offer lactation support services covered through Health First Colorado and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), with no out-of-pocket cost and no limit on sessions.
All services are delivered virtually through our HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). We provide education, guidance, and support for common breastfeeding challenges, along with evidence-based care for more complex needs.
How to Receive Insurance Covered Lactation Support
1. Fill Out Our Insurance Verification Form:
Our simple Insurance Verification Form requires your contact information and Colorado Medicaid Member ID. Once submitted, our maternal care team will review your insurance and eligibility.
We will contact your provider to request a referral on your behalf. Colorado Medicaid requires a referral from your healthcare provider (physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or midwife) for lactation support services. If you already have a prescription – you may upload a photo to our Insurance Verification Form. You may also download a copy of our order form to bring to your next appointment if preferred.

Once insurance has been verified and referral received, an email link will be sent to schedule your virtual appointment.
